Mr. Vanguard's Space Show — now on ZUN radio!
ZUN radio's newest slot brings you short news from astronautics and space — with Mr. Vanguard's Space Show. From the bard who has been orbiting Earth since 1958!
ZUN radio is adding a new regular feature. After SinglStory, which takes listeners into the past, and Stock Exchange Espresso, following the current Czech economy, we are now looking up. Mr. Vanguard's Space Show will bring short curiosities from astronautics, astronomy and space research throughout the week.
Why Mr. Vanguard
The Vanguard 1 satellite is the oldest man-made object still orbiting Earth. Launched on 17 March 1958, the size of a grapefruit, it is historically the first satellite powered by solar cells — and it is still flying above our heads. Vanguard is a symbol of the fact that great things begin with small, courageous steps, and that some things last longer than anyone expected.
What the show brings
Each episode focuses on a single topic — a current launch, a historical anniversary, a curiosity from astronomy or space research. Mr. Vanguard will make sure you always know what is happening in this mysterious world. Mr. Vanguard's Space Show launches on ZUN radio today!
